The past few months I have been planning a surprise Fiesta for my boyfriend, Adam. I fell in love with this theme while scrolling endlessly through Pinterest. I knew his friends and family would love it and it would be a lot of fun! I wanted to completely transform his backyard and pull off the perfect fiesta inspired surprise party. This took a lot of planning and list making. I wanted to include the most beautiful decorations and food and of course, have all of Adams closest friends there. Most of the decorations I found on Etsy, I will link all of the items below the photos. A lot of planning goes into a party, especially when there is a theme in place and you are a perfectionist.
When it comes to choosing the decorations there are lots of large party supply stores you can find what you need at, Although; I prefer to support smaller online companies and use unique, handmade decorations.
Preparing a Taco Bar will definitely set the Fiesta mood for your party. Prepping all the toppings are the most time-consuming part of it all, then just put it all into bowls. If there is a guest with a dietary restriction or allergy this is a great option for everyone. Depending on the toppings there are vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free picks. People can help themselves. You can easily speed up the prep process by purchasing pre cut and made toppings, such as the pico and guac.
Creating a DIY Photo Booth will make your next party way more fun! Your family and friends will be crowding around the photo booth area. If you’ve got a party coming up soon, really consider adding a photo booth area they definitely add a ton of creativity to your photos. I got fun Photo booth props from Bash Events and Decor and everyone had a lot of fun with them.
Whats a party without balloons? It was crucial for me to get a hold of some fun and unique balloons to really make this Fiesta come together. Adding some mylar balloons or even buying a helium tank can improve the look of any themed party.
Having a mini bar at the fiesta was a great idea. Everyone loved the Mojito pitcher and was a great touch to the party. Here I also had stir sticks, straws, cups, mint, and lime for everyone to help themselves. Having a few other drink options available is a good idea too. I chose to do Jarritos, Tequila, Rum, and Beer.
For me, dessert is almost as important as dinner… So go big or go home. I wanted the fiesta to have a variety of different sweets so that the guests can really have exactly what they want. The cake was absolutely beautiful by Sammie and the subtle lemon flavor was delicious. I couldn’t have asked for a more fiesta inspired cake! The toppers from The Little Jasmine Shop were so special and really felt handmade and custom. Angela, the owner wrote me the sweetest card, I will continue to support her business and her hard work pays off.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and made Adams Fiesta a success.
